Ty Segall is the hardest working man in garage rock. With 13 LP’s and an even longer list of compilations, EP’s, splits, and recording credits, this man gets around. You can hear it in his newest solo endeavor, Twins. He deliberately melds piercing guitar solos and distorted barriers of bass and melody, with his beloved kit. He came from the San Francisco Bay, but he channels his inner Detroit with an attitude not seen since MC5 and the Stooges. This album is sure to bring out your inner headbanger. For those of you who like JEFF the Brotherhood, Turbo Fruits, and the Black Lips. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the album is just under 36 minutes so it’s perfect for the commute to and from work, and anywhere else for that matter.
